September 25, 2010, Calgary. Twenty-two Canadian writers representing all genres spent an information-packed Saturday exploring writing skills and techniques from the viewpoint of a long-time book editor—me.
I was delighted to meet so many serious and talented writers, thanks to the Alberta Romance Writers Association (“we do more than romance”). In addition to paying me (and printing my 20 pages of workshop handouts so I didn’t have to carry them with me), ARWA flew me round-trip to Calgary, booked me on the CBC for a radio interview, and provided excellent hotel accommodations. Merci beaucoup!
This concluded the 2010 book/workshop tour of 76 days on the road for a total of 10,866 miles.
